Bachelor’s in Homeland Security Program Overview
The goal of homeland security and emergency preparedness is to keep the country and its people safe from threats and prepared for unexpected incidents. These goals cannot be achieved without skilled individuals who know what to do as crises unfold, regardless of their form or scope.

Our program helps you focus your interests in the field and integrates your intellectual interest and experience, small-group dialogue, and interaction with theoreticians and practitioners in the field. At the heart of this degree program is the opportunity to network, and apply knowledge developed through the online classroom.
Students who have at least a 3.0 GPA and wish to pursue a Master of Arts in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (MAHSEP) after completing the undergraduate program can enroll in up to three of the graduate MAHSEP courses. These courses can be used toward both the undergraduate degree and the graduate degree. Students interested in pursuing this option should contact the Program Director for approval.
